What do I write in Python?
The Page builds Source: fields, layout and behavior declarations. The JavaScript runtime renders it in the browser. Small inline formulas use JavaScript expressions; reusable browser behavior belongs in Logic. Python endpoints run server-side.
Can I change a formula while inspecting the page?
Use the inspector to follow Data. In the stay-estimate walkthrough we change the formula in Python, let the development server reload, refresh the page and enter the same inputs. The demonstration does not activate new inline formula text through the inspector.
Can I use Python in a standalone browser file?
The current serverless exporter runs JavaScript pages in a browser Worker. Python pages require a Python server. The shared Source, Data and binding concepts do not imply Python execution inside the standalone file.
Does “offline” mean everything works offline?
Only operations and resources available locally do. Bindings, local formulas and local validation can run without a network. A remote service request cannot. Package all required resources and test with the network disabled before describing an application as offline.
Are answers saved automatically?
No automatic durable persistence is implied. A page’s in-memory Data can disappear when the page closes. save and restore provide an explicit typed-file workflow. A JSON export is for interchange and is not the typed input expected by restore.
Can the form produce a PDF?
A receiving service can accept JSON and generate one. Gramlot supplies structured page data and the handoff primitives. The PDF engine, service contract and response presentation belong to the application integration. This site describes that workflow as a use case, not a shipped complete product.
Is validation enough to submit safely?
Field validation improves feedback and protects accepted Data from rejected edits. The screen can still contain an invalid draft while Data holds an older valid value. A finished application needs explicit completion rules, and the receiving service must validate untrusted inputs again.
Is remote the same as an endpoint?
A Source method requested by remote constructs an interface fragment. An endpoint called by dataRpc returns a value. dataRemote requests an endpoint-backed Data value when it is read. Choose according to the kind of result you need.
Can I use the gallery as my application?
The gallery teaches individual behaviors and exposes their source. It does not supply your business schema, persistence, deployment acceptance or complete workflow. Start from a relevant example, then implement and verify the application’s own responsibilities.
Where do I go after the tour?
Use the feature explanations to understand a mechanism, the gallery to observe it and the official manuals for its full contract. The start page brings these routes together. The website keeps the explanation here, so external references become a deliberate deeper step.
